The geography of genetic data: Current status and future perspectives

چکیده
The biogeography field benefits more and from the growth application of genetic data such as nucleotide sequences whole genomes. It has been perceived by scientists that may be imbalanced among different geographical regions taxonomic groups. However, lack empirical evidence prevents understanding current volume distribution data. Based on construction a dataset including records for 365 millions Animalia, Plantae, Fungi kingdoms, 6 COI insects, 77 thousands mammals, 220 rbcl Magnoliopsida, 44 ITS Dothideomycetes, here we present taxonomical imbalance data, identify major gaps inappropriate practices in production, sharing We then discuss our perspectives how to fill up improve quantity quality

Down Syndrome: Current Status, Challenges and Future Perspectives
Down syndrome (DS) is a birth defect with huge medical and social costs, caused by trisomy of whole or part of chromosome 21. It is the most prevalent genetic disease worldwide and the common genetic cause of intellectual disabilities appearing in about 1 in 400-1500 newborns. Although the syndrome had been described thousands of years before, it was named after John Langdon Down who described ...
متن کاملThe current status and future of theranostic Copper-64 radiopharmaceuticals
Copper-64 was produced in large scales and high specific activities in late 1990s’ using compact cyclotrons based by 64Ni(p,n)64Cu reaction and many radiopharmaceuticals developed since then by various groups based on interesting physicochemical and nuclear properties of the radionuclide. The unique emission of beta particles as well as positron particles offers a spectacu...

متن کاملI-40: Non Invasive Prenatal Genetic Diagnosis;Current Status and The Future
Discovery of cell free fetal DNA in 1997 has deeply changed the outlook of prenatal diagnosis approaches as most of the clinically established screening tests are not sensitive/specific enough while the current practical diagnostic tests are also invasive in their nature. The most common prenatal screening test is routinely practiced for the diagnosis of Down syndrome (DS) which includes a 10% ...
متن کاملPlant Secretomes: Current status and future perspectives
Plant secreted proteins have biological functions which are important in the formation of cell walls, cellular communication, and defense against pathogens. We analyzed 1704 secreted proteins from a total of 22513 plant proteins, all of which were manually curated and annotated in the UniProt database. Of the secreted plant proteins analyzed, 55% and 13% are curated from Arabidopsis thaliana an...
